Merry Christmas to all....

and to all safe travels. If you are going out today in WI, be careful, driving is awful. But everything should be clear by tonight.

I think I am ready for Christmas. The tree is up, the house is decorated, the presents wrapped, and cookies and candies made. My mom's family is tonight at Grandma's and tomorrow it is just Mom, Dad, Grandma H, and myself. Joe is in St. Louis with his future in-laws. Scott and Casey are just taking it easy for Spencer's first Christmas. We will celebrate January 3, 2009.

As the title says, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.

May God bless you and your family in this season.

Let It Snow!

Looks like we are in for a real treat. 8-10 inches of snow with possibly up to 12 inches. Then the blowing and drifting. I am glad I don't need to go anywhere.

I am finally over my cold, I think. The cough is still there, but only when it is really dry or I have done a lot of talking/singing.

I spent yesterday afternoon creating the christmas presents for my brothers, sisters-in-law, and nephew. They turned out very well. Email me or ask me if you want to know what they are as I don't want them to find out!

We have the tree up, but no lights or decorations on it yet. We have other decorations up, but it hasn't started to feel like Christmas yet.

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful...and What's the point?

I wish I had no place to go so it could snow. But I just came home from errands. The roads are awful. Anyone that has to drive in this, I am sorry. The roads will be ice by tonight. There are puddles at every corner and in every lane. Except for the town of Dale. They must be working overtime. Of course, our road hasn't been plowed yet and everything is white. When you first turn on the road, there doesn't even look like a road.

It is past time to introduce the new member of our family, Bucky. Some of you have had the pleasure of meeting Bucky, some of you were his family, and some of you will meet him the next time you are out. Bucky is our new black lab. He is 3 years old and a great companion for Skippy. They are having so much fun wrestling in the snow. I wish I could get a picture, but it is just too fast.

This is Korky and Skippy before Bucky.
Here's Bucky!
And here is Skippy and Bucky in their favorite pasttime. Bucky lays on the floor and lets Skippy think he is being dominate. They really have so much fun playing together.

Of course, Bucky's paw is the size of Skippy's head, but that doesn't seem to bother either of them.
The point of blogging:
1. to communicate to friends and family what is happening.
2. to say whatever I want to, even if it doesn't make sense.
3. to share pictures
Stay warm and safe! Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! I'm dreaming of a White Christmas!

And it lingers!

Has anyone else had the cold this season? How long does that nasty cough last? I can not seem to shake it. However, with the help of a cough suppressent, I did get to sleep 8 hours! Yeah!!!!!! That is the first time in over a week I have not woken up because of congestion or coughing! Otherwise, not much is new. Kids are here with there own version of the cold. Nothing on the job front yet, but I have another interview on Thursday, so we will see.
