Another Holilday, Another Cold

The title of this says it all. For some reason on every holiday, I seem to get a cold or the flu. Usually it is Christmas and I sit in a chair at Grandma's and miss all the fun. This year I got this awful cold (cough, congestion, sore throat) on Monday before Thanksgiving. Normally, this wouldn't be too big of a problem, since we usually go to Grandma's. But of course, this year, Mom decided we were hosting Thanksgiving. And then Mom got a Sinus Infection and was dizzy on top of that.

Of course, I missed Church this year and singing with the Choir. I am disappointed about that, but what can you do! I was miserable.

Thanksgiving went well though. I took a lot of Dayquil and made it through the day. Jodie - Thanks for the Turkey recipe - It was delicious:) I even made Grandma's stuffing recipe for the first time. Grandma even said it was good. Of course after she was here, she added to new steps to the directions. Oh well, that's how you learn. We also had all of the traditional Thanksgiving meal items: mashed potatoes, corn, green bean casserole, crescent rolls, cranberries, pumpkin pie, and pecan pie!
It was a huge crowd - Mom, Dad, Scott, Casey, Spencer (His first Thanksgiving), Joe, Julie, Both Grandma's, my Mom's Brother Kris and his family - Laurie, Zach and Jasmine.

So of course, I have not gotten the rest I have needed to get over this cold. Hopefully today I can rest most of the day and beat this cold. I was supposed to go with Mom to Milwaukee for a baby shower for my cousin's wife. Dad took her instead (Thanks Dad!). Time to go and rest.

Hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving Holdiay.
